Philosophy / Re: The Eighty-Eight Precepts of David Lane
« Last post by SaskSkin on July 10, 2023, 01:38:43 AM »David Lane was an incredible pro-White thinker. Reading the story of the Order and how that group evolved ideologically was interesting. Initially starting out protesting and going to public demonstrations, they soon realized that for the most part holding picket signs is pretty useless. I guess it could be said for the most part, in any type of activism that holding a picket sign and making a big fuss could be seen as useless for the most part - so they decided to rob drug dealers and pimps to help fund the pro-White movement. After realizing that it was a little harder to spot out drug dealers and pimps in this modern hellhole society that we have they abandoned that idea as well. The rest I guess is history and anyone can find pretty easily the legends of their battles fought (and for the most part battles won).
From what I understand too, is that Bob Matthews started off as a Mormon type (I think that I read somewhere he was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), ended up getting into Christian Identity beliefs for a while and later converted to the ancestral Aryan path of Odinism. I for one, do believe that he died honorably in battle in accordance to his heathen faith, and he does feast with the greats in the halls of Valhall.
One thing I've always pondered was when we drop the "88" in the 14/88 slogan, do we mean the HH variant of 88, the 88 precepts (as stated in posts above) or Hitler's National Socialistic 88 words from Mein Kampf:
What we must fight for is to safeguard the existence and reproduction of our race and our people, the sustenance of our children and the purity of our blood, the freedom and independence of the fatherland, so that our people may mature for the fulfillment of the mission allotted it by the creator of the universe. Every thought and every idea, every doctrine and all knowledge, must serve this purpose. And everything must be examined from this point of view and used or rejected according to its utility.
- Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf Chapter 8.
I think at the end of the day it would be in the context that the slogan is being used in. Or, all of the above works as well. I've been looking into picking up some of Ron McVan's work on Wotansvolk which I know both David and Katja Lane contributed towards the foundations. I must say that I am more familiar with the Asatru beliefs of the Asatru Folk Assembly-style than I am of Wotansvolk. None-the-less, heathen or not, it is important to read the ancestral pre-Christian faith, sagas, and legends of our ancestors and see how the European-Aryan peoples lived prior to the invasion of Christian thought into Europe. The Havamal is full of great advice on how one should carry himself in our time spent on Gaia. It is very interesting, and either way it is our heritage and blood going back to the most ancient of days.
