If we are to accept that race is a social construct - and we can, if we really want to - we must also inevitably accept that species, gravity, matter, mathematics, all biology, and everything we can see, hear, smell, or perceive is also a social construct.

These things can all be accepted as social constructs because they exist only in our minds as interpretations of the things that our senses and our thoughts report to our minds.

Naturally, by accepting this view we are categorizing reality as an illusion, a fantasy that we imagine our senses and thoughts report to our minds. But for those who prefer to view reality as factual, race, species and all the rest must be accepted as factual.
